Thank you for joining our tour & giving us the opportunity to serve you to help you make the best of your holidays, permit us to give you a few suggestions & general hints.
What to take along?
- Keep a copy of your passport, travel visa, airline tickets and travel documents, besides the originals. Also keep the copies separate from the originals.
- Remember to keep an 'in case of emergency card' that should contain your blood type, allergies and special medical conditions, along with the names and numbers of your doctors.
- Do not forget to keep an extra pair of eyeglasses and a list of your medicines in your carry-on luggage.
What to leave behind?
- A copy of your passport, travel visas, airline tickets, insurance documents and a list of any charge or credit cards.
- A copy of the itinerary of your trip and important phone numbers.
- A copy of your Travellers' Cheques' serial numbers and other such details.
Tips for hassle-free travel…
- Check that your passport is not approaching expiry date.
- Sign each Travellers' Cheque on the top left corner to protect yourself in case of loss or theft.
- Remember to put your name, address, and telephone number inside each piece of checked and carry-on luggage.
- Don't miss locking your luggage.
- If possible, use your business address on your luggage.
- Its advisable to register valuable items such as cameras, laptop computers, and jewellery with customs, before departing. This will save you the import fees when you return.
- Plan to travel in comfortable and sober clothing to avoid attracting any undue attention.
Precautions while on the move
- Never leave your luggage unattended. Place them between your feet, or against your legs.
- Watch out your carry-on items closely when you go through the security clearance.
- Try to avoid currency exchange windows and prefer exchanging only a small amount
- Note down beforehand how many pieces of luggage and other items you have brought with you.
- Avoid taking unauthorised taxis and buses to your destination.
- Make sure that your whole luggage is placed inside the taxi trunk and the lid is well covered.
- Unless the individual is known to you, do not accept an offer to share a taxi.
For safe stay at Hotel:
- Get a Safety Deposit Box upon check-in for your passport, airline ticket, most of your cash, travellers' cheques, jewellery and other valuables. Carry only a passport copy.
- Avoid leaving your valuables in the room while you are away. Don't leave them even in locked luggage or guest room safes.
- While leaving the room, switch on television or radio set to give the impression that the room is occupied.
- Never use display signs like requesting for room cleaning services. It indicates that room is unoccupied hence exposed to any kind of theft.
While on the Road...
- Carry only limited cash or travellers' cheque, which you plan to use during your trip, away from your hotel.
- Men should carry their wallets in their front pockets and women should carry their purses close to their bodies with the latch facing in.
- If possible carry money and identification in a separate, small wallet.
- Carry small amount of money separate from the rest of your money so that you don't have to show your cash every time you make a purchase.
- In areas where people naturally stand close to you like airports, trains, bus elevators, escalators and open-air market, remain extra alert.
- Travel with a detailed map of the city and prominently mark the hotel, embassy and police station. You should be familiar with the directions of the city before leaving the hotel.
- Carry a piece of hotel stationary with you. It comes in handy when communicating with local taxi drivers.
When confronted with crime...
- Resisting a robber from taking away your belongings may cost your life. Never oppose the robber as your safety is more important than what you are carrying.
- Raise a noise, you might get some help.
- The copy of the police report is essential for verification with insurance and in replacing stolen cards /
travelers' cheques. Make it a point to keep it.
- Immediately report the theft of credit or charge cards.
- In the event of your passport and airline tickets being lost or stolen, contact the embassy and the appropriate airline. The extra copies can be used to expedite the replacement.
Airlines
- Minimum US$ 500 to be endorse & purchased as per rule
- Maximum of cash Rs. 5000 is allowed to carry (INR)
- You could carry US$ 2000 cash & US$ 3000 as a T.C. is allowed on per passport
- No other currency is allowed to carry which is not endorse in passport
- If you are carrying Handy cam, Lap Top, or any other costly electronic items or heavy gold jewelry with you during trip you have to declare in front of custom officer in advance (DEL airport)
- You can purchase things up to Rs. 12000 per person which is duty free after that you have to pay custom duty
- No dangerous goods are allowed mentioned on your Air – Tickets
Time difference
To check the local time either search
the related websites before reaching to the destination.
Once you reach your destination, please change your mobile
to the local time mode to give you the current time of the
country.
Baggage
- Airlines allowed maximum of 20 kg per person & one piece of cabin baggage, weighing not more than 05 kg per person
- Please take extra care of your belongings during the tour, as every country you travel to, is likely to have thieves & bag snatchers.
Tips to remember while moving in other country:
- Please move within the Group
- Do not spit or throw wastage here n there it will cost you heavy fine
- Don’t try to steal any thing in mall or any place it may cause heavy fine or imprison too
- Don’t misbehave with the ladies it may create problem to you & your group too
- Don’t smoke in non-smoking zones it will cost you heavy fine
- Keep the purchased items in the given trolley / basket
- Please tally your bills & purchased items correctly their should be no difference between billing items & purchased items if there is any difference please clear it on billing counter before leaving the counter
- Cross the road only at Zebra crossing
- Since there will be lot of water sports available on the most of the tours so please carry your swim wears. Sarees are not allowed while swimming in the pool or whilst doing the under sea walk
Your Coach
- We request you to assist us in keeping the coach neat & clean so that all of you can be comfortable during your memorable trip please do not eat food stuffs in the coach as there is a possibility of some left over spilling & oiling the coach
- We regret that, in the interest of the fellow customers, smoking & drinking alcoholics beverages is not permitted on the coach
Meals
- American breakfast as per the itinerary is served in hotels. Most meals are served in the finest Indian restaurant.
- There is the choice of Jain / Vegetarian / Non- Veg meals. The menus, however, are fixed in advance & A-la-Carte is not possible
Currency exchange
If you are carrying local currency card, please keep a
note of available amount in the starting and also every time
you make a new transaction using your currency card. This
will keep you updating about the balance of that currency.
Usually these cards are available in the currency of USD or
Euro.
Note for currency changing
- Avoid changing money at the hotels since they offer a very poor rate of ex-change
- Every time you change or re-change your currency, you pay in ex-change service charges & the currency fluctuation, which is sometime as high as 7-10%
- Use all loose coins & smaller denomination notes in the same country, as these cannot be ex-change for another country currency
- If you are carrying travelers Cheque, please keep the purchased receipt in a safe place, away from the original travelers Cheque.
Hotel
- Your hotels have been especially chosen, keeping in the mind the location & space availability. Utmost care is taken to assure accommodation of good quality
- Most hotel rooms are air-conditioned & may have the facility like mini-bar, pay T.V. channels, Tele-phones, etc. Please note that these facilities are not complementary & have to be paid for, based on actual used
- Sometimes, hotels offer the facilities of complementary safe deposit lockers, which can be available of.
- Please ensure that there is no damage done to your hotel room during your stay since the same would be charged to directly to you by the hotel.
- While checking-in to the hotel wait in the lobby or coach as advised by the tour Manager, crowding never him would only delay the check-in hotel
Tour Manager
- We request you to kindly co-operate with the tour manager & the abide by his/ her instructions, for a successful & memorable tour
Punctuality
- Your itinerary has been especially designed to ensure that you get the maximum coverage during your holiday. To achieve this, we require your co-operation in being punctual.
- Sight seeing as well as various excursions have been pre-booked for a particular duration & thus, if the group delayed, the delay would
actually deprive you of your own sight seeing time. Local guides have been pre-booked for certain duration & cannot extend their services beyond
specific time limits. Please do understand that punctuality is solely in your interest, to ensure that you have the full benefit of all services included
in the package. Very often, the entire group may be delayed & may lose valuable time or opportunity because of a few people delaying the whole group.
Essential Items / Documents to be carried on Tour
- Please carry sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, sun hats comfortable walking shoes, an alarm clock, an additional pair of spectacles (if you are using), an umbrella, camera rolls & medicines with prescriptions, if required.
- Please carry photocopies of your passport, tickets & valid visas, & keep them separately from the original passport in the pouch carried by you or on your person.
Tipping
- It is customary to tip the guide / coach driver for good service.
Clothes
- T-Shirt and shorts weather for most of the season, although you're advised to bring a sweater for evenings, especially towards the end of the fall.
